•Prepares lesson plans using industry-standard approaches (e.g., multimedia, adult learning methodology).
•Teaches courses as assigned, instructs and evaluates students, develops students’ skills and encourages growth, and tracks their attendance, performance, and grades.
•Participates in various administrative activities (e.g., attends faculty/staff meetings or in-service meetings).

•Participates regularly in continuing professional development activities.
•Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

Education/Experience Needed:
•A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent as demonstrated by expertise, license, or certification.
•At least four (4) years of practical work experience in the specialty area being taught.
•Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and some payroll accounting required.
•Teaching experience desired but not required.
•Superior language ability/interpersonal communication skills.
•Solid logic/reasoning ability and organizational skills.
•Internet savvy.
•Good math ability.

This individual will work with prospective students interested in enrolling in our accredited degree and diploma programs. The position is Monday through Friday, and alternating saturdays. This individual will report to the Campus Director of Admissions.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
•Contacts and interviews prospective students and assists those desiring admission through the admissions process.
•Successfully completes all admissions-related training programs, and displays thorough knowledge of all admissions-related training materials, policies, and procedures, as well as admissions-related documents including, but not limited to, the Application and Enrollment Agreement and the Campus Catalog.
•Contacts prospective students (leads) and provides accurate and complete information about the Campus and the programs of education offered by the Campus.
•Provides complete and accurate responses to questions from prospective and enrolling students, except that he or she does not engage in detailed discussions about financial aid programs.
•Sets appointments and conducts interviews with prospective students.
•Conducts Campus tours for prospective students.
•Assists applicants in completing application and enrollment paperwork, and executes such paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
•Represents the Campus at job fairs and college fairs or other offsite locations as permitted by applicable regulations and as assigned by the Director of Admissions or the Assistant Director of Admissions.
•Provides prospective students with only approved advertising and program or employment-related materials.
•Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

Education/Experience Needed:
•A bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Four (4) or more years of continuous experience in a relevant position can substitute for the educational requirement.
•Appropriate experience in a sales, customer service, or management position.
•Registration or licensure may be required pursuant to applicable state regulations and/or standards of accreditation.

• At least one (1) year of practical work experience as a licensed cosmetologist.
• A current state of Hawaii cosmetology operator’s license.
